 ER : READING REPORT


           Hi everyone, today I have an assignment to make a reading report on English e-Reader. I hope you enjoy reading my work.

    I just read 3 stories on English e-Reader. For the reading report I chose a story that I found interesting to read. This story belongs to the  adventure story category, level (A2) / elementary, entitled Home for Christmas. It is written by Andrea M. Hutchinson, consisting of 23 pages with a total of 4720 words.

Home for Christmas, by Andrea M. Hutchinson

    It tells the story of the character Harminda who wants to go home when Christmas arrives. After four years, she left her house due to a violent argument with her family. She wanted to go home because her father was sick. She missed her family and wanted to surprise them. But on the way home she encounters a series of unlucky events.

    For this events, considering Harminda's efforts to be able to return home on Christmas day, I wanted to use the soundtrack song for that story. This is Wham / Last Christmas.

 




Last Christmas, I gave you my heart

But the very next day you gave it away

This year, to save me from tears

I'll give it to someone special

     That was when Harminda complied with the request of her parents to meet her prospective fiancee. But in the end she refused the fiancee. Her father gave her was the choice of a future husband for Harminda. On Christmas day this time there would be no more tears in the eyes of the problem Harminda. She ventured back home to make peace with her father.She also surprises her family that she will have a child, a child from her marriage to Declan, the man she loves.

Well, it's been a year
It doesn't surprise me

  Harminda met directly with her mother at the hospital where her father was being treated. Harminda's arrival was greeted happily by her family members. She still recognizes the face of her mother who has not changed at all.

A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you, and your soul of ice

   It describes Harminda and her friend Vanessa and Sauna while they were staying at a hotel. They stayed there because they missed the ferry they were going to take to London. They always accompany Harminda even though they are tired.

    So, I think The Wham's song is suitable into the soundtrack to the story Home for Christmas.This song is suitable with the theme and the story is almost the same as the lyrics of song Last Christmas.

 Reading Journal #4 Hi everyone! back again to my blog. Today I want to share my experience about "Reading my first stories on ER Central". I hope you can read it :))           I have read an article on ER Central the title is "Germany" I choose articles with the travel category. after reading the article, in my opinion the article was interesting its tells about students who are studying abroad so i like read it.I feel motivated to follow the author's experience,because she can study and travel abroad in Germany. In Germany she also has many friends. Even,he has pen pals from various countries. I also want to feel the same way with her. Btw I think,the level that suits me is the elementary level, because the vocabulary or meaning of the reading provided is easy for me to know. In the future,for my plan I want to try reading articles for the next level at the intermediate level So that my reading ability can develop. Thank you...
