Hi everyone! Welcome to my blogger. I think that semester one on this extensive reading course seems to end very quickly. Do you agree with me? haha. Now, I will share my final assignment about Individual Reflection in this blog. I hope you enjoy reading my work.
The first time I took an extensive reading course, I thought the lesson would be very boring and the task our lecturer gave us was to read the reading text quickly. But apparently, the assignment is not only to read. We are also asked to write down the contents of the reading. Before that, I remember at that time we were given the third assignment to make a video about our opinion, what is reading?. I answer "In my opinion, Reading is An activity that everyone does to find out something with written forms".
The main assignment of extensive reading is to read stories on ER central website and English e-Reader website. I do the assignments once a week. After I have participated in activities and done assignments, I think reading is a useful activity to find out important information from the content of a reading. And after spending a few weeks reading, I feel comforted and happy just reading a book. Because the contents of the books contain interesting stories.
From the two paragraphs above, about reading at the beginning and now. I found the similarities and differences. The similarity, I still think that by reading I can find something or information. The reason I still think so is because we will not know anything if we do not read. The difference may be seen from my feelings after reading. In the past, I thought reading was a boring activity, but now I think reading is a fun activity. My feelings change about reading because I have been doing activities to read, and I also compare my reading impressions from beginning to end.
After taking the extensive reading course, I think about what activities or assignments I like or dislike. For me, there is no activity or assignment that I dislike. Because the extensive reading activity is really fun. But for the activity I like on this extensive reading course, when we all have a Zoom meeting with the alumni of PBI, UKSW. I think this is an unforgettable moment. We can interact with friends and lecturers. In addition, at the zoom meeting we share stories about reading and alumni also share they experiences after taking an extensive reading course. The activity motivated me to study hard in extensive reading lessons.
